Hmmm...I don't use Corel Draw, but there's a lot here that I could apply to flash. I've thought of the concept of a shading layer, but I've never bothered trying it out. I'll fav this for the helpfulness ;)

thats crazy! they almost look like 3D models @_@

Thanks. took a long time to develop a 'system' of creating the types of drawings I do. Check out my timeline dev to see how bad my first cars were! lol
The best part is, the corvette file is just under 800k. Gotta love vector.

If you 'can't draw a straight line with a ruler', it's because you should be using a straightedge instead. My New Years resolution this year is 1280x1024.

have you ever tried doing cars in photoshop? why is it that you prefer vector - isnt it more time consuming?? (im full of questions today lol :P)
:iconrpmindy:
I prefer vector for a number of reasons. File size for one. For two, most of what I do ends up becoming decals or paint masks, and those shops require vector files to cut the paint masks/decals.
I normally don't mess with photoshop unless i have to. I have done a few jobs where someone wanted a photo modified to use my graphics scheme. Many of the haulers I do require photoshop work. Time consuming, sitting/waiting for the computer to chug everytime you make a major change...

Photoshop.. hi-DPI.. hi-res.... Looks better?...
:iconrpmindy:
Sure.. depends on the application. Its not intended to be photo realistic. My illustrations are for conceptual artwork. The vector saves time and cost to the client when paint masks or decals need to be created and cut. But if you enjoy having huge files to transport/backup/etc, then more power to ya! :)
